Remote Desktop Manager places a centralized platform at your disposal, on which you can store and manage remote connections, passwords, credit card information and much more. It is intended primarily for corporate work environments. IT specialists will definitely appreciate how the application enables them to access any piece of information they need in a single database. Remote Desktop Manager comes in free and paid editions, for Mac OS X and Windows and it can be installed in under a minute, just like any other OS X application.

Remote connections, passwords and other entry types are listed and categorized in a column, on the left side of the user interface. You can view their contained information or options for performing various actions in the larger area on the right. Creating a new entry involves filling in a series of input fields, which are obvious different for each type of entry.

Besides storing the configurations for a remote connection, the application allows you to establish that connection as well. If the address to a remote host is correct, you may connect to it and control it remotely without any effort. It is also possible to ping the remote machine and to perform trace routes.

The application comes with a built-in password generator, which can be quite useful when creating entries that include passwords. It is capable of generating long and complex passwords, with character types and lengths of your choice. Furthermore, it can generate a large number of passwords at once and it provides an interesting way of remembering passwords with random letters.

Pros

The application allows you to store and protect a wide range of information. You can store settings for remote connections and establish the connections. It comes with its own password generator.

Cons

Creating certain entry types is not as straightforward as some would expect. Remote Desktop Manager's powerful functionality and its wealth of features can satisfy the needs of any IT professional.
